Infinitesimally small, and
Judging by appearances,
Utterly insignificant,
Particle slough off that body
Like skin cells. As dust,
They become visible in daylight,
Falling, lifting and floating
With the faintest breath,
Only to fall again, invisible.
Even smaller,
But more celebrated
Elemental particles, in their duality
Radiate from that body
Like starlight, or lasers.
They become the daylight,
Charging, heating and moving
At super human speed,
Only to sink below the horizon, unseen.
Dust or starlight, it matters not –
Both have forgotten
The way home.
